Refining the User Interface
The software we use to manage our business, SuiteCS, has been in dire need of a makeover to the ticket user interface. Today I tackled the challenge and made a little video to show it off.
The Problem: Our tech’s (including myself) forget to read thru the description and then ticket entries (work done) when we’re adding our own work. Things sometimes don’t get documented correctly and in the worst case, things get missed.
The Solution? This is my first attempt at reinventing the ticket user interface. Its not drastic, but hopefully gets our eyes back on the important text, and isn’t as painful on the eyes. Here is a little video showing off the old and then new interfaces.
I haven’t heard from my team what they like/dislike about the new design yet, but I eagerly await their input. Which brings me to my next question, what do you think?
