Here is a photo journey of our trip to Vegas and CES 2010!

We have arrived!

Natalie and I after the long trip to Vegas. Its only 5pm PST in this pic, but to us it seems like 8pm (time difference).

Our first day at CES was filled with lots of walking, several acres worth of iPod and iPhone case manufacturers, and lots of weird gadgets and do-dads. This pic is from the samsung booth I believe.

This guy had 25, yes 25, mini digital displays (billboards) on his back!

Natalie and I took the Monorail down to the strip later on our first full day there and enjoyed dinner at Gallagher’s, saw NY NY, the Bellagio fountains, and so much more.

While we were out on the town we had to buy Natalie flip flops that didn’t kill her feet like the other sandals she had. By this point in the day we had each walked over 10 miles.

Day two at CES I saw Leo Laporte broadcasting his The Tech Guy show, but didn’t get a chance to meet him. I’m hoping to later this year.

Later that day we went to the strip again, all four of us this time. We had wings and nachos and watched the Jets win, and then walked thru NY NY and then across the street to the MGM and the Monorail.

Last night we stayed around the Stratosphere and found the Back Alley Bar which had a really great live cover band, then later we went to the Images dueling piano bar, where Brandon proceeded to request every tv show theme song from his childhood.

Today, after packing and clearing out, we watched the Patriots lose (woot!) and then headed to the airport to watch the Packers play and wait for our plane. This is where we watched from and had some lunch/dinner, and where I’m posting this from! Thanks to Google for the free wifi!

  • Cool pics!
    Fun week!
    Glad Natalie could go too.
Mike used to go to those shows years ago.
He'd like to take me to Vegas, he says.
I take it you were too busy to see the cousins, Paul & Kathy.

I've never been to Vegas. I'm afraid I would be on sensory overload! We would like to go sometime, though -- at least for a day or so.

It was complete sensory overload, but still kinda fun. Lots of good restaurants, the Bellagio fountains are cool to see in person, and definitely a great place to get your "walk" on. We walked over 10 miles (possibly quite a bit more, but I didn't have a pedometer) one day, which is a whole lot for a geek like me.
