Instead of using visudo you could also run: echo bobby ALL=(ALL) ALL >> /etc/sudoers

Also, if your svn user isn’t the same as the user you setup on your vps you can skip the “cap svn_cache_credentials” and just ssh into your box and run: svn list http://path_to_your_repository
